As the final putts hit the chains, we say goodbye to another fantastic season of our Winter Putting League! Over the last 10 weeks, 24 dedicated players braved the cold and darkness to keep their putting skills sharp, proving once again that our love for disc golf knows no off-season.
A huge thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this league such a success. Now, as the days grow longer, it’s time to take those honed skills back outside, where we can enjoy the sunshine (and, inevitably, still miss a few putts) on our local course!
Final Standings
🥇 Champion: Our fearless president, Jeroen, takes the top spot! Some might question the legitimacy of the results, given his executive privileges, but even while he was in Thailand for a month, no one could dethrone him. His well-earned prize? Congrats, Jeroen!
🥈 Runner-up: The one and only Ben Bolduc, the master blaster from Oregon and Berchem! After three years of putting league, he finally claimed ‘het potske,’ striking fear into all who see the orange Discraft hat approaching the basket. Well played, Bennie Putts!
🥉 Third Place: Nathan, our Belgian Kastaplast ambassador, who apparently prefers Innova putters when it comes to sinking putts! Lethal on the green, deadly with a hyzer, he rounds out our top three with a well-earned spot on the podium.
Additional awards, including the Most Improved Putter (MIP), will be announced soon in coordination with our great chairman. Stay tuned!
Special Thanks
We’d like to extend a huge shoutout to Basisschool De Tandem in Mortsel for providing us with an indoor space to keep the competition going through the winter months. Your support means the world to our club, and we truly appreciate it!
With the putting league wrapped up, it’s time to hit the fairways and prepare for the upcoming season. See you all out on the course!
